Interviewer: What is your previous experience in growing and managing watermelons and melons? 

Francisco: I have always had a passion for working in the field, and my luck led me to collaborate with a leading company in the knowledge of watermelons and melons: Grupo Autor. I had the opportunity to learn from the best in the business, who taught me the complex process of growing and handling watermelons, including how to identify their optimal point of ripeness and discover the secrets behind this fascinating fruit. The world of agriculture is not simple; It requires careful attention and dedication to every detail. 

Interviewer: How long have you been working in the sector? 

Francisco: I began my career in 2010 and until the current date of 2023, I have been immersed in continuous learning and improvement. Every day the field gives us new opportunities to expand our knowledge. 

Interviewer: What are the key skills and knowledge needed to harvest high-quality watermelons and melons? 

Francisco: It is essential to develop an attentive and expert eye to evaluate the fruit, its skin and the state of the plant. Experience has taught me to carefully use the razor to determine the optimal point of ripeness by listening to the characteristic sounds. Furthermore, patience and delicacy are essential virtues for the harvesting process. 

Interviewer: What is your daily fruit picking routine? 

Francisco: My day is based on closely supervising the work of employees to ensure that each step is carried out with precision and dedication. 

Interviewer: What are the steps you take to ensure that watermelons and melons are picked and handled properly? 

Francisco: I treat each fruit with extreme care, as if they were valuable treasures. I avoid any damage or impact during collection and transportation. Each stage of the process is supervised to guarantee that the fruit reaches the market in optimal conditions. 

Interviewer: Have you used specific tools or technologies to optimize the watermelon and melon harvesting process? 

Francisco: Until now, the entire collection process is carried out by hand, relying only on the skill and abilities of the workers involved. We have not implemented technologies in collection, but rather we have prioritized manual attention and care at all times. 

Interviewer: How do you relate and collaborate with your colleagues to achieve common goals? 

Francisco: Our relationship is based on fluid communication and mutual support. We work as a team, always focused on achieving common objectives and maintaining the high quality standards that characterize us. 

Interviewer: What is your contribution to guarantee excellence in the quality of the fruits collected? 

Francisco: My contribution focuses on the thorough inspection of each watermelon and melon once they have been cut. I ensure that no fruit is damaged and that all are treated with the greatest possible care. My goal is that our products reach the consumer in the best possible conditions. 

Interviewer: What do you like most about your job? 

Francisco: What I am most passionate about about my job is the possibility of traveling to different cities during the campaign, from Seville, Murcia, Almería to Aragón and Castellón. Each place offers a unique experience, with different fields and lands that constantly enrich my learning. I am always learning, and that constant evolution is what I enjoy most about my job.
